DES MOINES, IA – The Cleveland Charge (5-8) were defeated by the Iowa Wolves (4-9), 118-115, at the Wells Fargo Arena on Thursday night.
Six Charge players scored in double figures, led by Sharife Cooper’s 31 points on 12-of-22 from the field with 10 assists and three steals in 45 minutes. Justin Powell posted a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds in 37 minutes. Pete Nance scored a season-best 29 points with three blocks in 38 minutes. Emoni Bates scored 15 points and grabbed seven boards in 22 minutes. Rob Edwards added 14 points off the bench and Zhaire Smith scored 11 points with three blocks.
Luka Garza paced the Wolves with his game-high 35 points with 15 boards and three steals in 42 minutes. Daishen Nix scored 22 points and dished 10 assists with three steals in 42 minutes. Trevor Keels scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds with six assists and two steals in 43 minutes. Tyrese Martin added a double-double of 15 points and 10 boards in 36 minutes.
