Charge Defeated on School Day

CLEVELAND, OH – The Cleveland Charge (11-15) were defeated at home by the Greensboro Swarm (13-15), 95-82, in front of 4,365 area students & teachers for their annual School Day game.

Dibaji Walker came off the bench to score 15 points and dish five assists in 25 minutes.  Dexter Dennis scored 13 points and nabbed two steals in 39 minutes.  Justin Powell scored 12 points, divvied out six assists and grabbed three steals in 38 minutes.  Tray Maddox & Malik Fitts each added 12 points for Cleveland, while Zhaire Smith scored 10 points.  The Charge loss snaps a 10-game winning streak over Greensboro that dated back to the 2017-18 season.

The Swarm were led by Terrell Brown Jr.’s 21 points on 7-of-14 from the field in 27 minutes of relief.  Former Charge C Marques Bolden posted a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds in 28 minutes.  Jaylen Sims had an all-around effort of 19 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and two steals in 32 minutes for Greensboro.

The Charge wrap up a packed promo schedule with the annual Women’s History Celebration presented by Athleta this Friday, March 15th at 7:00 p.m. as the team hosts the Raptors 905 (Toronto Raptors) for a pair of games.
