Charge Fall to Stars

CLEVELAND, OH – The Cleveland Charge (1-2) were defeated by the Salt Lake City Stars (1-3), 126-113, at the Wolstein Center on Tuesday night.
Cleveland was led by a trio of 20+ point scorers: Sharife Cooper scored a game-high 28 points on 10-of-20 shooting with six boards in 38 minutes. Emoni Bates scored 27 points and grabbed seven boards in 37 minutes. Isaiah Mobley scored 21 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, dished out six assists and swatted two blocks in 35 minutes. Malik Fitts added 15 points and nine rebounds in 31 minutes off the bench. The Charge were able to cut a 26-point second half deficit down to eight points, but could never get closer than that.
The Stars were paced by Johnny Juzang’s 25 points, six rebounds and five assists in 31 minutes off the bench. Mentor native Micah Potter scored 15 points, grabbed seven rebounds and rejected four blocks in 27 minutes for Salt Lake City. Taylor Hendricks posted a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds in 31 minutes.
