By Cleveland Charge Staff /December 11, 2024
CLEVELAND, OH – The Cleveland Charge, the NBA G League affiliate of the Cleveland Cavaliers, officially move into their new home at Cleveland’s Public Hall this Friday, December 13. Public Hall Grand Opening Weekend, presented by Rocket Mortgage, will feature a pair of games against the Wisconsin Herd (Milwaukee Bucks) with tip-off for both games on Friday and Saturday scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
The first 5,000 fans on Friday will receive commemorative Charge/Public Hall Shirts and Rally Towels presented by Rocket Mortgage. The fun continues on Saturday with the first 1,500 fans receiving a Charge Up Portable Charger, presented by 4Imprint.
Along with investments like the Cleveland Clinic Global Peak Performance Center and Bedrock’s Cuyahoga Riverfront Master Plan, the reopening of Public Hall for professional basketball will create an epic sports experience for fans from all over Northeast Ohio. The civic landmark has hosted the Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremonies and political conventions over its 102-year history and now Charge fans will get the chance to add their mark.
Another new element for fans to participate in is Chuck-A-Ball, presented by Ohio Lottery. Fans will be able to purchase the mini basketballs in the lobby through halftime and then launch them on the court after the game for a chance to win $250 while other proceeds will benefit the Cavaliers Community Foundation. Visitors of all ages can also look for the recharged Fan Zone on the floor level, with activities like pop-a-shot, cornhole, sign making, and more!
Fans will still be able to get unrivaled access to Charge players and the court with postgame autographs and free throws after every game!
Making the move to Lakeside, Pope’s Cocktails Courtside Club will continue providing an elevated experience for eligible fans with all-inclusive food, beer, wine, and soft drinks and the best up-close floor seats to watch the players in the second-best basketball league in the world.
