CLEVELAND, OH – The Cleveland Charge of the NBA G League had two players earn All-NBA G League recognition, the league office announced today. Charge G Sharife Cooper was named to the All-NBA G League Second Team, while F Isaiah Mobley was named to the All-NBA G League Third Team.
Cooper played in 43 games for the Charge this season (Showcase and Regular Season), averaging a team-high 22.8 points on .454 shooting with 3.6 rebounds and 7.0 assists in 33.6 minutes per game. He set a new Charge franchise record for assists in a game when he dished out 17 in the win over Windy City on Dec. 12th and scored a career-high 43 points in the win in Fort Wayne on Jan. 8th. Cooper finished 10 games scoring 30+ and 29 games scoring 20+ points, plus notching nine double-doubles this year. Cooper was named NBA G League Player of the Month for January, where he averaged 27.4 points on .500 shooting with 4.4 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.0 steal in eight games. He also was named NBA G League Player of the Week twice during this past season in addition to joining Isaiah Mobley for the 2023 NBA G League Next Up Game.
In his rookie season as a Two-Way Player for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Mobley played in 32 games (Showcase and Regular Season) for the Charge and averaged 21.5 points on 52% shooting with 8.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 33.4 minutes per game. The team had a 22-10 record in games which Mobley suited up for the Charge, as he tallied 11 double-doubles this season while scoring 20+ points in 20 separate games. Mobley had his career-best outing in the Charge’s Eastern Conference Playoff Semifinal defeat, scoring 34 points on 14-of-21 shooting with 11 boards, four assists and two blocks. Mobley was also named to the All-Showcase Team this season as well as being chosen for the 2023 NBA G League Next Up Game at All-Star Weekend in Salt Lake City.
