Charge Stopped by Blue Coats

CLEVELAND, OH – The Cleveland Charge (8-8) had their three-game win streak snapped in a 135-101 defeat to the Delaware Blue Coats (9-5) in front of 4,238 at the Wolstein Center on Sunday afternoon.

Cleveland was led by Pete Nance’s 22 points and six rebounds in 26 minutes.  Emoni Bates scored 14 points and grabbed three rebounds in 25 minutes.  Isaiah Mobley scored 11 points and grabbed seven boards in 23 minutes.  Justin Powell (13 points), Gabe Osabuohien (12 points) and Scotty Hopson (11 points) rounded out the double-digit scorers for the Charge.  Jon Elmore posted seven points, six assists and three steals in his Charge debut.

The Blue Coats were paced by Marcus Bagley’s 30 points on 11-of-16 shooting with five rebounds in 24 minutes off the bench.  Aminu Mohammed scored 24 points and grabbed seven boards with a pair of steals in 31 minutes of relief.  Delaware led by as many as 48 in the game, assisted on 38 of their 50 made baskets, and hit 57% of their shots from the field as a team.
