Charge Top Warriors

CLEVELAND, OH – The Cleveland Charge (2-2) defeated the Santa Cruz Warriors (1-4), 116-104, in front of 3,312 at the Wolstein Center on Saturday night for Retro Cavs Night presented by Bertman Original Mustard.

Cavaliers two-way player Emoni Bates poured in a career-high 38 points on 13-of-24 from the field and 8-of-15 from three-point range with six rebounds, four assists and two steals.  Pete Nance posted a double-double of 21 points and 10 boards with three blocks and four assists.  Malik Fitts scored a personal Charge-best 15 points with five rebounds, while Zhaire Smith & Aleem Ford each added 12 points.  Cleveland led for the entire second half en route to the win over the Warriors in Santa Cruz’s first-ever visit to The Buckeye State.

The Warriors were paced by Jackson Rowe’s 23 points and two blocks off the bench.  Donovan Williams scored 23 points on 8-of-19 shooting.  Usman Garuba scored 18 points, grabbed nine rebounds and swatted two steals
