CLEVELAND, OH – The Cleveland Charge (11-4) defeated the Windy City Bulls (8-5), 114-108, to win their fifth consecutive game and improve to 8-0 at home to begin the season.  The victory also qualifies Cleveland for the 2022 NBA G League Showcase Cup in Las Vegas.

Cleveland’s Sharife Cooper set a new franchise record by dishing out 17 assists in tonight’s game to go along with 30 points in 38 minutes.  Cooper came into tonight’s game leading the NBA G League in scoring, averaging 25.1 points per game.  Mamadi Diakite scored 23 points and grabbed six boards in 32 minutes.  Sam Merrill hit 7-of-8 three-pointers, finishing with 21 points in 34 minutes.  Nate Hinton added 12 points, five boards and three steals in 37 minutes.

Windy City was led by Carlik Jones’s game-high 36 points on 10-of-14 shooting with six rebounds, eight assists and five steals in 39 minutes.  Ethan Thompson scored 19 points and grabbed three steals in 36 minutes for the Bulls.  Malcolm Hill added 17 points, five assists and three steals in 37 minutes.  Kostas Antetokounmpo (12) and Marko Simonovic (13) rounded out the five Bulls starters who all scored in double figures.

The Charge finish their Showcase Cup schedule with a visit to the Iowa Wolves (Minnesota Timberwolves) this Thursday, December 15th at 8:00 p.m.  Fans can watch the game live on ESPN+ or listen live on NEO Sports Radio on the iHeartRadio mobile app.
