Cooper, Shuler Lead Charge to Win

WHITE PLAINS, NY – The Cleveland Charge (4-4) defeated the Westchester Knicks (4-6), 125-117, at the Westchester County Center on Tuesday night to split a two-game series.

Cleveland’s Sharife Cooper scored a season-best 42 points on 12-of-23 from the field with 12 assists, nine rebounds and three steals in 43 minutes.  Devontae Shuler scored 21 of his career-high 33 points in the first half, finishing 13-of-20 shooting in 35 minutes.  Malik Fitts scored 19 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished six assists with two steals in 44 minutes.  Aleem Ford added 14 points and seven boards in 39 minutes.  After going up 5-2 early, the Charge led for the entire rest of the game.

The Knicks were paced by Jaylen Martin’s 28 points and nine rebounds in 34 minutes off the bench.  DaQuan Jeffries scored 26 points on 9-of-19 shooting in 41 minutes.  Brandon Goodwin added 21 points, eight rebounds and six assists in 37 minutes.
