Cooper's Late Bucket Makes Magic Disappear

CLEVELAND, OH – Sharife Cooper’s driving layup with 15.8 seconds left gave the Cleveland Charge (13-9) a 102-101 victory over the Lakeland Magic (10-11) in front of 3,465 at the Wolstein Center on Saturday night.  The victory gives Cleveland their third win in as many games played this week.

Cooper finished with 22 points on 8-of-13 from the field with seven assists in 34 minutes.  Isaiah Mobley scored a game-high 24 points with five rebounds and four blocks, including the game-winning rejection as time expired.  Mamadi Diakite added 16 points, five boards and two blocks in 24 minutes. 

Zavier Simpson led the six Magic double-digit scorers with 19 points, seven rebounds and eight assists in 38 minutes.  Caleb Houston hit 4-of-7 three-pointers with 18 points and five rebounds in 31 minutes off the bench.

Cleveland hits the road for a three-game west coast trip, beginning with a matinee matchup at the Stockton Kings (Sacramento Kings) on Tuesday, February 28th at 2:00 p.m.  Fans can watch the action live on the Charge mobile app or listen live on NEO Sports Radio on the iHeartRadio mobile app.
