Hinton's Late Dagger Lifts Charge

CLEVELAND, OH – The Cleveland Charge (9-2) defeated the College Park Skyhawks (5-6), 116-115, at CSU’s Wolstein Center on Wednesday evening to split the two-game homestand.

After a hard-fought battle in the fourth quarter that included three lead changes and five ties, Nate Hinton bookmarked the game with the winning three off the dish from Chandler Vaudrin and four seconds left. The Skyhawks couldn’t convert on a buzzer beater, and the Charge finish with a 2-1 edge in the season series.

Isaiah Mobley led all scorers with 25 points and a game-high seven assists with five boards and three blocks. Hinton finished the night with 23 points, shooting 80% from the floor in 34 minutes of action. Vaudrin tallied his first double-double of the year with 15 points and 14 rebounds to go along with six assists and four steals in 40 minutes.  Jamorko Pickett recorded his team-leading ninth double-double of 17 points and 12 boards to go along with five blocked shots.

Brandon Williams paced the Skyhawks with 24 points and six assists in 39 minutes of action. Armoni Brooks finished with 23 points, 18 of those coming from behind the arc, and brought down a team-high eight boards.

The Charge will travel north of the border for a two-game set at the Raptors 905 (Toronto Raptors) beginning Thursday, February 2nd at 7:30 p.m.  Charge fans can listen to all the action on the team’s mobile app or watch the game live on ESPN+
